Hi, I have regular calls using either Google Meet or MS Teams. I run those using ungoogled chromium flatpak from a Silverblue installation. When I enable a virtual background I get some weird behavior. It starts pretty good, from a resolution pov on either the laptop cam as well as on a seperate cam. Then, after some time (it’s seems different every time) the image will get very pixelated. When I go into the settings and select another or even the same virtual background it’s sharp again. I suspect this is due to running it in a flatpak with limited access to hardware. Any tips to troubleshoot and/or fix this are very welcome!
First guess (as flatpak is mentioned) its an issue with Wayland.
.But what is your distro etc?
Hi, sorry for the late reply. I am running Silverblue F40. I am actually on F41 now, but have not been in a meeting since upgrade, so I can’t be sure if its gone or not. Where would I need to go to troubleshoot this kind of issue from a logging perspective?
