This was the solution, I am on an intel core ultra 7 running omarchy and was having an issue where the HDMI was not showing up as a audio output. The same when I was using a docking station via USB-C. creating this configuration file and running dracut fixed the issue. I’m glad you posted this solution, many thanks.

However it’s quite sad that we still have to do this a few years later with a new product (in my case - FW12), even with operating systems that claim compatibility with Frameworks 
(for example - Fedora 43)
