[RESOLVED] Soft reboot stays at black screen

I am running on Framework 13 AMD –

I noticed when I soft reboot the laptop it stays on a black screen.

I can then hard reset (power cycle) by holding the power button and the laptop will boot as normal.

I’m wondering if anyone is experiencing this and ways to solve it?

I’m running NixOS fwiw.

Welcome to the community.

Do check first with Ubuntu 24.04 or Fedora 40 Live and see if you’re having same issue with soft reboot.

Yea – I was able to get it working when I updated the firmware and latest Linux Kernel.
