[RESPONDED] Framework won't boot past BIOS screen

Hi, my Framework Laptop has been working well since I purchased, including an upgrade to the 12th gen Intel motherboard. I’ve installed Ubuntu on it (current version).

However just today I tried starting it up and it’s getting stuck at the BIOS screen and not booting past it:

InsysdeH20 Version: HFW30.03.05
BIOS Build Date : 08/23/2022
Processor type: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i7-1280P
System Memory Speed : 3200MHz

CPUID: 906A3

Any ideas what the problem could be?

Sound like booting to USB was not an issue, installing Ubuntu went through successfully. Let’s jump through some steps to see if we can drill this down.

  • Boot up, see if you can get into BIOS. If yes, next step.

  • Boot up with a USB flash drive with Ubuntu installed. Boot into this drive. If successful, next step.

  • Mount the internal drive from within the Ubuntu, did it mount? Report back how it goes from there back to this thread.

Hi, I played around a bit and now it’s booting again although I’m not sure why - I’ll report back if I figure it out.
