Hey all. Just got my Ryzen 13 in a few days ago. Unfortunately I’m not getting any video output on any of my displays from my Plugable TB4 dock (Plugable Thunderbolt™ 4 Docking Station for 4 Monitor Setup, 100W Lapt – Plugable Technologies). USB and network working OK though. I realized looking closely at the product page that it specifically calls out NOT supporting Linux so I need to find another dock that works under Pop! OS and can power 3 2560x1440p displays, ideally at 60hz or better. I looked over the dock recommendations thread but it wasn’t specific enough and I wanted feedback from others who are in a similar use case scenario to me before I buy something else. Not against troubleshooting my current dock either, but I suspect it would be an uphill battle… I don’t have any other Thunderbolt capable systems unfortunately.
If you have suggestions for a dock that can charge a Ryzen 7 Framework, run 3 2560x1440p displays at 60hz, has Gigabit Ethernet, and at least 3 USB ports (2.0 or 3.0 is fine), that’s all I really need. Thanks!

Welcome to the community!
My official recommendation is to use our expansion cards. If something goes wrong there, we have a course of action we can pursue as it’s our own hardware. Third party docks however, well, a quick search will show you why I do not recommend them for pushing video. Folks use them, some successfully - but I very much recommend sticking with expansion cards.
Hi Matt,
While I certainly appreciate the reply, I’m ideally looking for a one-cable solution. Currently my workaround is to use a cheap USB-C hub with a HDMI port, and my HDMI expansion card. While this does work for two monitors and I can understand no official support for docks are presented, I am mostly looking for community suggestions or recommendations based on their experiences. Thank you for taking the time to respond.
Had the opportunity to test a co-worker’s dock at work. The “Lenovo Thinkpad USB-C Dock Gen2”, Model No. LDC-G2, FRU PN: 03X7609, Type: 40AS works great. 3 monitors supported as expected, two DP, one HDMI.
Which os, and resolutions and refresh rates? I’m looking for a 3 monitor dock as well, but it needs to be 3x1440p at 60hz or above.
@jared_kidd The monitors I had available to test were 1920x1200 @ 60hz. Will test with 3x 2560x1440 when the dock arrives here soon.
@jared_kidd Confirmed the dock works with 3 2560x1440p monitors. DP goes up to 144Hz, HDMI 60hz. This is on Pop! OS 22.04 LTS, kernel 6.5.6-76060506-generic.
