As per recent changes in my personal digital footprint, I would like to update my username for this forum, but I am not able to do so in the ‘Preferences’ page. Is it possible to update the username?

Hi! For security and conversation transparency purposes, you have 6 months to change your username from the time you create your account. You’ll need to contact Framework Support and they will be able to assist you after that time limit is up.
