Laptop 16 - Windows 11 24h2
so I put my laptop to sleep.. and later (next day forexample) I open the lid to use it.. but the screen will not turn on at all..
open close.. no luck.. ctrl-alt-delete no luck
click mouse and/or keys like a mad man.. no luck…
only option I have is to hold the power button down and let it shut off and then power on again.. this happens randomly to both of the FW16 laptops in the house.. but have not seen it happen on the FW13.
have you tried WIN+CTRL+SHIFT+B - it should restart amd driver.
It worked for me one time, but I do not use any longer sleep mode, because it uses too much power and can drain battery in 1 or 2 days. I’m using hibernate and it works quite well.
do you have the latest amd drivers and bios?
Hmmmmm Ok plot thickens…
so I have a 2nd monitor plugged in.. and I manged to while the screen was not showing anything tell it to mirror the screen to it… so I can see the dekstop on ther…
If I start a game.. it switches to the dedicated graphics.. and works.. I can see the screen play the game.. but when I quit it.. it switched back to the desktop but it no longer updates.. just a static picture… Very very odd.
