I just got my DIY and have it set up running Windows 10. everything works fine except for when the laptop is closed. When I close the laptop instead of going to sleep then coming back on when I open it shows a black screen and gives me a default boot device missing error. Once I hit the power button to power down and back up, everything boots normally. Any idea what is causing this and how to fix it?

I’ve been having this exact issue on Win10. Didn’t have this issue on Linux. I’ve heard there’s something about how windows doesn’t handle the sleep levels properly, but haven’t figured out how to solve it yet.

I upgraded my BIOS to 3.06. Around the same time I also installed the Intel Thunderbolt DCH driver, which didn’t seem to be included in the driver bundle. That issue seems resolved now for me.
