[SOLVED] Can't connect to wifi - Windows 11 install framework 13 AMD diy

I’m running a framework with Ryzen 5 7640U. I installed windows 11 from a usb drive, and I’m at the step where I need to connect to the internet. I can’t see any networks. I take it the computer needs drivers to connect to the wifi, how do I go about this?

Shift+F10 then type OOBE\bypassnro

Exactly what I needed to know, thank you.
For people in the future: that’s how to bypass the requirement to connect to the internet. So now I can boot to the limited OS.
Then I just run the driver packet on the framework. it’s an exe. Here:

Hi all, I’ve got past this stage, installed Windows 11 but Windows isn’t recognising the Wi-Fi at all. When I go to Device manager it shows yellow warnings for Bluetooth (Generic Bluetooth Adaptor) where it says “Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43), and Other devices where for Network Controller it says “The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) There are no compatible drivers for this device”

I’ve installed the bundled drivers for Framework 13 Windows 11 for AMD 7040 (mine’s AMD Ryzen 5 7046U for reference). I’ve also gone looking on AMD’s drivers and support site and installed the ‘amd-software-adrenalin-edition-25.8.1-minimalseupt…’ tool and run it, but all without any joy. Please can anyone help?

I have the exact same problem right now, have you found a solution yet?

Framework just released an updated version of the 2.06 driver package, dated 2025-09-08, to fix an issue with the WiFi driver. Redownload it and reinstall it.

The same applies to you @Iain_Major.

I’ve copied the link here for quick access: https://downloads.frame.work/driver/Framework_Laptop_13_and_16_AMD_Ryzen_7040_driver_bundle_W11_v2.06_2025_09_08.exe

I already fixed it, weirdly enough the drivers worked when I extracted the separate drivers from the bundle and manually used the Batch files for the WiFi and Bluetooth drivers.

Indeed. The issue they fixed was in the overall install script, which specified the wrong directory for the WiFi and Bluetooth drivers.

All fixed here using the new driver bundle. Thanks @DHowett
