Windows 11, AMD 7040 series, AMD rx 7700s.
I’ve been using an rca tv as my second monitor for months now, and everything was great until today. Got home from work, turned on the laptop, and nothing happened. Tried stuff like windows + p, device manager, regular display options, even reinstalled the latest driver package for the framework 16 - it simply will not detect the other monitor.
I also got a message from AMD Adrenalin that it couldn’t work with the current driver or something, but the driver reinstall fixed that.
ANY recommendations or ideas are welcome!!!
UPDATE: My friend suggested checking the wire itself, so I unplugged it from the back and put in into one of the side ports, and the screen immediately worked as it is supposed to. Even crazier, I put it back in the back port and it started working again as well. So I have no idea WHY it’s fixed, but it’s fixed!
