I recently managed to upgrade the Framework to the 3.03 firmware update, but now when the laptop sleeps I get the dreaded ‘no boot device’ BIOS error.
My Framework 16 has a Lexar NM790 and a WD SN740. The Lexar firmware (12xxx on purchase) was the thing causing the issue, not the WD one. I upgraded the Lexar drive to 16949 and all was well. You need Lexar DiskMaster to do the upgrade (not a dissimilar app from WD Dashboard)
I hope this helps someone else with a Lexar drive!

Hi mate,
Can I ask you how did you upgrade the Lexar NM790 firmware?
I tried Windows to go, but still failed to upgrade.
Cheers
For future people. Lexar diskmaster only works at updating the firmware on windows 10. This was using the latest at the time 1.1.4 version. You can make a windows 10 to go drive and use that. On my framework 16 the framework ethernet card wouldn’t work in windows 10 so I had to use a different one. But if you don’t want to worry about internet in the lexar diskmaster install folder there’s a downloads folder where it the firm files is so you can just copy the firmware file and the installer to the win10togo drive and do it all without internet.
Hope this helps someone because these lexar’s could really use the new firmware.
