I’m running a fresh install of Windows on my new laptop, and I have no touchpad functionality. I first followed this guide under the “Touchpad not working at all” section. But the I2C HID Device does not have a yellow exclamation next to it. In any case, I disabled and re-enables the device with no success.
I then found this community post and I’m basically in the same situation. All drivers and BIOS updated. Powered down the laptop and disconnected/reconnected the touchpad module. Booted up and the I2C HID Device still does not show the yellow exclamation. I navigated to the Windows settings for the touchpad, and the touchpad is already enabled.
If I reboot the computer, the touchpad will occasionally work for about 15 seconds and then quit. Same results if I uninstall and reinstall the device in Device Manager.
