You can use Etcher on Linux for example to easily create a bootable usb, then all you need is the Windows ISO for the Windows version you want to install. I’ve put the basic steps for Windows 11 below
How-to:
- Download Etcher tool for Linux.
- Extract the zip files.
- Run the Balena Etcher executable.
- Download the Windows 11 ISO (not the Windows media installer, a bit more down on the page you will find “Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO)”, this is the one you want. Select the multi-edition ISO for x64 devices in the drop-down menu and download it).
- Plug-in the USB you wish to use as a bootable media.
- Select the Windows ISO you’ve downloaded in Etcher.
- Select the USB you’ve plugged in to your computer in Etcher.
- Click on flash and wait until finished.
- Shutdown then boot into the USB and complete the Windows installation.
