I found information about shipping orders, but didn’t find information about how preorders work. I would think that they won’t show up on our doorsteps without any previous notice. What kind of notifications will we receive before shipment?
I got this email when preordering my FW 13 12th Gen:
We’re preparing to ship Batch 3! Please review your info.
We’re preparing to ship Framework Laptops in your batch! Before we do that, we want to make sure that all of the information we have on file is up to date.
We’ll send you an email a couple of days before we charge the remaining balance to your default payment method, and we’ll ship your order soon after.
Two weeks later:
We’re preparing to ship your order! Please review your info.
I don’t see any reason to think this time will be different

You will receive emails from Framework to the same email you used when you ordered. I haven’t seen if they updated since the original 11th gen Framework launch, but back then I received an email when they started shipping my Batch (batch 2) and another when they were preparing to ship my order both asking to review my info (payment and shipping). After those they sent me an email stating that they had captured payment, and one where they told me they had shipped it. (looks like as I was writing this @Captain_Pumpkinhead has confirmed that this is all still the same process)
