What types of ports come standard?

Hi,

I would like to order a DIY Edition laptop. However, I could not find any information about the type of port that would come standard with this machine. I understand that one can purchase expansion cards that provides a variety of ports, but I just don’t know if I need to buy some in addition of the machine.

Any advises would be welcome.

The DIY edition comes with 0 ports, you will have to select your own on your needs. 1 USB-C will be needed to charge the laptop. I went with 2 x USB-C so I can charge on either side, 1 x HDMI, 1 x DP, 1 USB-A. I’m going to pick up another USB-C and USB-A for added flexibility in the future.

If you purchase the non-DIY version they include 4 expansion cards in the price and you can add additional expansion cards if needed.

To be precise, the DIY edition has ports as well, it’s just that they are recessed and all USB-C, so they’re much more useful when expansion cards are plugged into them.

There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack on the left side of the laptop, independent of the four USB-C expansion slots.
