Windows 11 - Audio no longer works after driver update

Hello,

since the fingerprint scanner took 5-10 seconds to recognize my fingerprint after booting, I decided to use the SDI Driver Installer to update the driver and then decided if I’m already at it I will just directly updated all drivers. My fingerprint is now recognized immediately yeah but now my audio doesn’t work…

In Device Manager, the Intel High Definition Audio shows up under Other Devices with the error “No driver was found”:

I tried installing the framework beta drivers, but they did not fix the problem. I also tried downloading the driver directly from Intel, but that didn’t work either.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

what you can do (if memory serves correctly) is unzip the driver bundle exe with 7zip, for example, and here you should find the audio driver being used. Back on the Batch 1 laptops they were using a Realtek chip bundled with intel smart audio driver.

Just make sure you run the driver install as admin. If that doesn’t work, I would recommend contacting support directly. :+1:
