Kind of a stupid question from a long-time Linux user: So I setup Windows 11 Home on my daughter’s Framework 12 and installed Framework’s driver bundle. How does she receive driver updates in the future? Is that taken care of by the Windows Update system or will she have to re-install the driver bundle from time to time? (In Linux you receive new drivers with new Kernels kinda automatically.)
And what about BIOS / UEFI firmware updates?

We send emails whenever we have a new BIOS/driver bundle ready, also create threads on the community forums here.
Regarding driver updates, would it be possible to get a direct permalink to the latest driver bundle and bios for each mainboard, along with a version/checksum file? I’d like to be able to script updates for my growing fleet of Frameworks, but since the links are different each time and only found in the knowledge base page, I have to come up with a scraping mechanism…
I’m a little confused about how firmware support works with Framework. Looking through this community, there is conflicting information. Some posts say after installation, driver updates come through Windows Updates. Some posts say that no updates appear in Windows updates and that depending on this misses most driver updates. I can personally confirm this; the newest driver bundle had an updated audio driver for my computer that Windows Update was not offering.
Some posts say that the driver bundle from Framework is only supposed to be used on first install, others say there is email about updated driver bundles and you need to look for changes in the bundle and presumably re-install the bundle. Others say they have never received email about driver bundle updates. I tried reloading the newest bundle and it seems to update all the drivers rather than only the ones that are newer.
Other posts claim to talk about “official Framework policy” but are from posters that do not represent Framework and then instead suggest other approaches. Some posts suggest driver updates and BIOS updates have different approaches for getting updates.
Does Framework have an official approach for updating the firmware (drivers , BIOS, ..) on their computers? If so, where is it stated or what is it. If not, is there any consensus on best practices?
