Oh, amazing. Glad Framework is making its way into Europe. Right to repair is a worldwide issue
Now that Framework is making its way to Europe, I wonder if we can get Fairphone to come to North America

Greetings from the UK!
i5, 8GB RAM, 500GB SSD, Win10 Home, DIY edition.
I (unfortunately) have no need for a laptop so I bought this for my parents, hence the most basic spec.
Hey guys! French guild member here, I can’t wait to finally get my hand on a framework laptop!
I might have overestimated my extension card needs haha. The plan is to run windows on the SSD and test / learn to use linux distros on the 250GB Storage module. I’ll probably do the switch to only linux later!
i5
1x32 GB RAM (might upgrade to 64 at some point)
own SSD (Samsung 970 Evo 1TB)
3x USB-C
1x USB-A
1x Display Port
I plan on using Fedora 35
Hello from France !
I ordered the DIY edition.
I have selected 2 USB-C, 2 USB-A, 1 HDMI, 1 MicroSD and 1 DP.
It will complete my Fairphone 4
In the UK and as I knew I would be…I’m in!
Took a lot of thinking but eventually went for:
Intel i7-1165G7
Bring your own RAM (will probably do 2x16GB)
Bring your own Storage (probably 1TB PCIE Gen 4)
British English keyboard
Framework Power Supply (don’t really need it, but it never hurts to have a spare USB-C power supply around!)
Expansion card wise I’ve probably gone a bit over the top with;
3x USB-C
1x USB-A
1x DisplayPort
1x HDMI
1x MicroSD
It’ll almost certainly go straight to Windows 11 Pro I think
Just have to wait till February now I guess! Exciting!
Finally something worth upgrading to from a Surface Pro 4…
Edit: Has anyone else noticed that on the order confirmation email, taxes and duties is reported as zero? It definitely said in multiple places that VAT was included in the pricing when I ordered. I’ll be mighty unhappy if I have a gigantic VAT bill to pay when it gets into the country!
Greetings from Germany, was waiting a long time
Also opted for 1x USB-C, 2x USB-A and DisplayPort. I was thinking about getting an i7 variant, but I guess I will just wait until there are some interesting Ryzen or Alder Lake Mainboards available.
Greetings from Germany. I’ve been looking at this laptop since last May, and am really happy I can now order one.
I chose:
Plan on installing Manjaro on it.
Hello from Germany, I was waiting a long time and now it is finaly available!
My Configuration:
CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-1135G7
Hard Drive: 1TB - WD_BLACK™ SN850 NVMe™
Memory: 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-3200
Customization
Keyboard: German
Bezel: Black
Expansion cards
2 USB-A
2 USB-C
1 HDMI
Accessories
Framework Screwdriver
Power Adapter - EU
My operating system will be Manjaro Linux, I plan to switch to Linux for a long time, now is the right moment.
As soon as an Ethernet card comes out, I will buy that because that id the only drawback now.
UK supporter here!
CPU: 1185g7
RAM: 16GB (2x8GB)
Storage: BYO (Probably going to get a SK Hynix P31)
Keyboard: UK layout
Expansion cards: 2x USB-C, 1x USB-A, 1x DisplayPort, 1x HDMI, 1x MicroSD
Kinda went overboard with the spec but it’s replacing a 5-year-old budget laptop which has been driving me crazy. Hopefully when the silicon shortages end FW can look into getting an AMD variant out.
Planning on running Fedora Linux on my new FW!
Buyer from Germany.
CPU: I5-1135G7
RAM: bring by myself, I will go with 32 GB DDR4 3200.
Storage: bring by myself, 1TB 970 EVO
Adapters: 2xUSB A, 2xUSBC, 1xHDMi, 1xDP (If you charge the battery, one USB C port for that is recommended).
Operating System: I use an old windows 10 licence.
Great to see that Laptop in the EU!
Edit: Just decided to wait some more months. But I will definitely go for a framework laptop.
On the flipside for any new customer who hasn’t been following along on the forum, seeing information about the wifi card, when it isn’t something you can or cannot select will probably just serve to confuse people.

Good day,
Preordered on the 17th.
Don’t love the keyboard layout and don’t love the wobbly display, but I do love everything else.
I can see me using a wireless Lenovo keyboard a lot with this, but I’m looking forward to a performance uplift and the screen real estate versus my old Lenovo T440p.
EDIT: Good idea when buying expensive, fragile electronic kit… also buy protection. Dbrand mostly hyperblack titanium skins ordered.
UK Builder for batch 8.
My ordered config is:
i5-1135G7
Going to add my own Storage probably 500GB and RAM 16GB.
My expansion cards
2xUSB-A 2xUSB-C 1xHDMI 1xMicroSD 1x250GB
I plan to run Linux Mint and Windows 10 from expansion card when I need it.
Looking at some of the Linux wireless issues I might buy a small
wireless dongle depends if I can get support in a compatible Mint kernel.
I have ordered the i5-1135G87
From Amazon I am buying
1gb WD SN850
And 2 16gb memory’s
Will install Windows when it comes.
Sorry I should have said 1TB!
UK, DIY edition
I chose the i5 model with 2xUSB-C, 1xUSB-A, 1xHDMI
RAM/storage I don’t have yet, but I’ll probably get 2x8GB of the fastest supported RAM and a 250GB SSD.
I plan on installing Fedora, but that’s subject to change too
UK, pre-ordered the DIY edition with an i5
Will throw in a 1tb SSD (Probably SK Hynix p31) and 32gb of ram
Chose 1 USB-C, 2 USB-A, 1 HDMI, and a micro SD reader
Definitely putting Linux on it, probably Debian (or something based on it)
