Brand new Framework 13 Screen dead on arrival

Hi together,

I freshly bought a Framwork 13 with a Ryzen AI370 processor after final assembly the screen doesn’t work at all. After a minute I get the following POST code 11xGreen/Red/Blue/Green/Blue/Green/Green/Green/Blue/Blue

I tried different DDR5 RAM modules and different SSDs nothing happens.

I send a ticket to support but after 3 day I didn’t got a response and i’m pretty angry now.

I’ve got a couple of questions:

  1. What RAM are you using and have you tried booting it with 1 stick of RAM in Slot 0?
  2. Can you get display out via an external display?
  3. When you created your support ticket, did you get an auto-response?

The blink codes are here:

The 12th Red is about the screen.
Try plugging in an external display and see if you get anything displayed.
Hopefully it is just a loose display cable.
The display cable has a connector at both ends, so you need to open it up enough to reach both ends to check.

A loose cable, although rare, can happen in the post.

I hooked it up on an external screen, nothing happened on startup. The internal display cable came prinstalled so I didn’t touch it until recenly. I unplugged it and replugged it’s still not working.

I use Kingston FURY SO-DIMM 32 GB DDR5-5600 (2x 16 GB) Dual-Kit and Samsung 990 EVO Plus NVMe™ M.2 SSD - 2 TB. Even on an external screen I don’t get any signal.

Do you have a video of the led flashing. I think there is one too few flashes mentioned.
Also, this community forum is mainly just for other users like me. You need to raise a support ticket via the FW web site to get official FW support.

That RAM isn’t compatible with the AI 300 series. Use the Crucial RAM
