Charging a Framework 13 from a standalone framework 13?

I am looking to upgrade soon to a new motherboard (fingers crossed panther lake (with lcpamm ddr5x [i would pay extra for that cause efficiency under load] )) and am wondering how to use my old board.

Its job is probably gonna be a router of somesort but thats unrelated.

My Question is, is it possible to power and charge a framework 13 from another framework 13 (both having thunderbolt 4 ports)?

Suppose I use the 180W charger from the framework 16, that should give sufficient headroom for both machines to run at max wattage and then some.

Charger → Standalone Machine (no battery) → Main Machine (with battery to charge)

/\ ← assuming thunderbolt 4

Is this possible? Is there something specific I would have to setup (like a bios switch)? The hope is that this removes extra cables and makes my desk easier to use.

Not really, even if the 13 had higher power PD-out implemented it could not do power in and out at the same to just one at a time.

The power out of any usb-c ports on a FW13/16/Desktop is limited to 15W max, so not really useful for powering another laptop.

Thats a shame, would’ve been an interesting media server/cache setup.
