A few days ago my DEL key stopped working. Today DEL key was working again, after a reboot. Upon wake up from sleep, it stopped working again. But after some time it started working again.
Anybody ever seen anything like that?

If you try opening a keyboard tester, does it consistently detect the Del key? If not, the keyboard’s Del key might be failing and you may need to purchase a new keyboard module. Otherwise, it is likely a software issue.
Please also first try updating your BIOS and drivers to the latest version. If you have the spare time, you could try testing if the Del key works in a Linux live USB.
Thanks for the suggestions. It’s quite reproducible: after resume from sleep, DEL doesn’t work. And xev doesn’t register anything.
My keyboard has several keys scratched out, particularly the META key which I remapped to CTRL. (The actual CTRL is really in the wrong place, that’s a place for the Fn key.) Might as well order a new one. But will try updating the BIOS, haven’t done it in a long time, since all works well and this is my daily driver laptop.
In 23 years of owning laptops I never had one where the keys’ paint got scratched out. Or where a key would suddenly and intermittently stopped working – and this is a key I barely use, comparatively. Hope the new keyboard models are a bit more durable, otherwise would nullify the foreverness aspect of the framework laptop.
