I used an Evanlink Displayport Emulator to test the Displayport Expansion card on both my Framework 12 and 16, latter both on the USB-C port on the Radeon 7700S (both directions) and also in the top slots. I do see the solid Blue LED indicating that power is being supplied and the ghost display should be ready but Windows 11 is not detecting it, even when running a game to activate the Radeon 7700S on the Framework 16.
I also previously tried a DisplayPort to HDMI cable with no luck on both Frameworks.
How do I get the Displayport Expansion card to work in Windows 11?
This sounds like it’s probably an issue with the DP emulator or the very slim chance you got a dud for the expansion card. I have both a DP and HDMI expansion card and they both work when connected to a display and in the correct ports. Out of curiosity why haven’t you just hooked it up to an actual display?
I started by connecting to 2 different TVs using a DP to HDMI cable but it didn’t work on both Frameworks.
It sounds like you might’ve gotten a dud to be honest. I’d recommend sending support a message, it should just work… except for the dGPU port which needs to the dGPU to be on, but you already accounted for that.
