DisplayPort Expansion Card Output quit working upon upgrade to Linux Kernel 6.16

Earlier this week Fedora 42 upgraded to Linux Kernel 6.16 and immediately I noticed that my external monitor, connected via DisplayPort, has quit working. I can confirm that this is not a hardware issue I had tested the card on other ports and it still was not working. I had also downgraded the kernel to 6.15 and booted into my Arch Linux installation, running 6.12 LTS, and it is working just fine there, so this appears to be a bug in kernel 6.16

This doesn’t seem to be a general external video problem either, as when I use the HDMI Expansion Card and connect through that, both it and another monitor I have work fine from there. It is only affecting the DisplayPort output. Unfortunately I do not have any other DisplayPort monitors to test it with.

When connected via DisplayPort, the system can see the monitor just fine. I can change its display options and view its info without a problem, its just stuck in a loop of the backlight turning on, saying “Entering power save mode”, going to sleep, then the backlight turning back on

I tried looking around and only found a couple of threads on Fedora’s forum talking about it, with no responses.

I’ve dug around in dmesg trying to find something but couldn’t find anything out of the ordinary (the expansion card is detected there). I’ve been insanely busy this week and simply have not had the time to do any extra testing, debugging, or log-finding
