I don’t really see the difference. Bottom picture is gen2, btw…
As I don’t really want to be underwhelmed like this, wanted to ask whether I am the only one with this experience? Am I maybe doing something wrong (pictures taken with Windows 11 Camera app)?
The module is definitely second-gen as it exhibits the new behavior where it shows static image when the webcam disable switch is activated.
The intersection of the walls and the ceiling is apparent with the new camera, and does not appear to be with the old one, for one. The poster on the wall is not visible in the first shot so can’t compare that. Finally, the items in the room through the doorway generally seem to be similar in each shot.
To me the grainy look at that lighting was already feeling “low light”, i.e. definitely the lower boundary for acceptable meetings, so that’s how I thought to compare it. But let’s dial the lighting down as suggested!
Nice, gen2 really looks miles better, plus the FOV increase is apparent. Thank you!
I’ve also posted all my comparison shots to an album on imgur, it has Logi Brio pictures + pictures in a scenario where the light illuminates anything but you. For the latter one I even prefer FW gen2 camera over Brio.
