My Framework 13 laptop (Ryzen 7 7840U) will sometimes get stuck in hibernation meaning, keyboard is lit, powerbutton is blinking but nothing will get the laptop out of hibernation. This is a issue I see a lot, even with HP and Dell laptops so i thought this was a windows issue.
Today i plugged it in to charge, didn’t close the lid and came back after 2 hours. My laptop was stuck in hibernation again, and the comination of being in hibernation so fans weren’t spinning and charging while on my matress made the laptop way too hot to touch on the back plate (cpu side). I had to hard-reset using the powerbutton, when it started up again i checked taskmanager and my igpu was at 75 degrees (while it had a bit of time to cool down). Bellow you can find a powercfg /Sleepstudy printout.
This is the second time this has happend, but this time it was way hotter because it was laying on my matress. I’m already using the latest driver package, i’m on windows 24H2 (Insider Beta channel), as i’ve said this has also happend to me on 23Hx? a while back.
