Hey Comunity!
I’m experiencing intermittent startup problems with my Framework 13" 11th Gen laptop running Windows 10. The issue seems to become more pronounced as temperatures drop (could be imagination tho). Here are the details of the problem:
Boot Failure:
- The laptop often fails to start up on the first attempt.
- The power button remains lit after one press, indicating an ongoing power cycle. (side LED off)
- The display shows a black screen despite the power indicator being active.
- Side LED blinks 1 time green, then turns off
Successful Startup After Restart:
- Shutting down the laptop forcibly (using the power button) and restarting it usually resolves the issue.
- This method works most of the time, sometimes I need to charge a bit first even if fully charged. After start I can see it is fully charged as well.
Recent Shutdown Issues:
- The laptop now experiences difficulties during shutdown procedures.
- It enters a state where the screen goes black, the keyboard becomes unresponsive, and the fans continue to operate.
- Forceful shutdown using the power button is necessary to resolve this situation.
Given the complexity of the issue and it’s impact on both startup and shutdown processes, I would appreciate any insights or troubleshooting steps you could suggest. After restart the system operates smoothly as I love my Framework for.
