The other day my laptop screen froze and became entirely unresponsive, I eventually force powered it off. Since then, when I try to turn it on, the power button lights up, the fan spins, but the screen remains off and there are no other signs of the computer booting. It hasn’t gone away. The side indicator lights dont turn on at all (unless the input cover is removed so they flash red.)
Prior to this, I’d been having issues with my laptop screen temporarily not working, and normally fixing itself after an hour or so and a full reboot.
Here is everything I’ve tried so far with no success:
- Reseat display cable
- Reseat ram
- Power on while connected to ac power with battery unplugged
- Power on without ssd to boot into bios
- Power on with display cable disconnected and laptop connected to external monitor
- Reset mainboard (holding the switch for 2 seconds 10 times)
I’m at a loss as far as what else I should do to find the issue, any help would be appreciated!
