- Which Framework laptop (11th, 12th or 13th generation Framework laptop, Chromebook or Framework Laptop 16) are you asking for support with? Framework 13 12th gen
My partner has a Framework 13 with a 12th gen intel processor that is about two years old. She has been having issues with the laptop’s behavior upon entering a sleep state. On numerous occasions, the laptop has fully shut down (no blinking power light) while the lid was closed and the battery was charged. This had led to work being lost. Additionally, on many occasions we have found the laptop in a sleep state with the power light blinking, but pressing the power button does not turn the system back on. Our only recourse is to hold the power button down until the system is forced to shut off, and then we can power it on again.
I’ve tried looking through the event viewer to see if I could see what was causing the issue, but I haven’t seen anything that would indicate a cause. All I’ve found are log entries from the times when the system improperly shut down from sleep (either on its own or when we hold the power button down) indicating that the system was improperly shut off.
