Im running windows 11 25H2, Bios version 4.01. I have AI 9 370HX + 7700S.
Originally I updated from BIOS 3.06 to 4.01. This broke my charging on all my ports. Ports 1 and 2 do not work at all whereas ports 4 and 5 will only start charging when the laptop is shut down. They will continue to charge once laptop turns on but if disconnected, they will not charge if the cable is reconnected. The laptop has to be shutdown again before they will start charging again. Ports 3 and 6 work normally.
I’ve attempted a hard EC reset, disconnecting the battery (both through BIOS and physically), reverting back to BIOS 3.06, reinstalling all the drivers. The issue still persists.
The following day i went to turn on my laptop and on boot, it said that it was checking fan status. I then started to smell a light burning smell. I immediately turned off the laptop. I removed the 7700s module and re-booted. The laptop entered windows and worked normally without the expansion bay attached.
This is the worst possible timing as im about to go back to college.
Does anyone know how to perhaps fix the charging issue?
