In my case, it’s also estimating delivery on Tuesday, and I think that’ll be accurate because it has to go from New Jersey to Hawaii, probably with a stop or two inbetween; bit of a long trip. We’ll see though.
I’m on Batch 3 and configurator shows they just opened up a Batch 4, also in July. So since June shipments were so late I’m guessing maybe each batch is about a week to a week-and-a-half window?
Delivered today! Thankfully, no issues with FedEx.
According to the tracking, mine is out for delivery. Hopefully won’t be too much longer.
Edit: Just arrived! About to install and test it. ![]()
Alright, well, it’s installed, but I can’t even install a driver for it because Windows is throwing a fit about it. Device Manager says “This device cannot start (code 10). The driver trying to start is not the same as the driver for the POSTed display adapter”. Anyone got any hints on what I can do about this?
So far I’ve tried going into the BIOS and forcing the system to try to use the 5070 for all video output, but that only results in a hang on boot. And to clarify, I can’t even install the NVIDIA drivers because the above Device Manager error means no program can detect the 5070.
Edit: I got it to boot into Windows in that configuration, but neither the Framework driver package installer nor the NVIDIA driver installer can detect the 5070, presumably because it’s using the “Microsoft Basic Display Adapter” driver at the moment… either that, or the 12GB 5070 is so new that there aren’t specific drivers for it yet, idk. Will investigate further…
Edit 2: Finally got it! I had to find the NVIDIA driver files from the Framework package in the Temp folder, then manually install that driver via Device Manager by clicking “Have disk…” and browsing to the driver .ini file. Now going to try to see if I can get everything else working. Why did Microsoft have to make this such a damn hassle…
Edit 3: It’s all working now! Currently running Microsoft Flight Simulator (one of my favorite pastimes) with no problems so far.
Yeah, I’ve had similar issues. When first booted into Windows, the Device Manager just showed a generic Microsoft driver with a warning sign.
I re-ran the most recent driver package from Framework, and that seemed to work fine.
I then used the Nvidia control panel to check for any newer drivers, no updates. I also tried to use it to reinstall the drivers and do it as a clean install… but then that resulted in an error message that either this version of Windows wasn’t compatible or there isn’t a compatible driver for the hardware.
So, that’s a bit concerning. But so far, I haven’t noticed any performance issues. Everything runs much better than with the 8GB 5070.
Interesting that the Framework driver package worked for you. It didn’t for me - it skipped the NVIDIA driver installation because it couldn’t detect the presence of the 5070. That’s why I ended up having to install it fully manually via Device Manager. I’m guessing that’s because it doesn’t search using the vendor/device IDs, which is a baffling choice to me, as I would think it’d be pretty easy to code it to find NVIDIA devices using NVIDIA’s vendor ID (10de) - and the same for AMD devices using their vendor ID (which, IIRC, is 1002).
Mine’s also been working perfectly since then though, so I’m happy.
Strange. Do you have a Ryzen 7040 series motherboard, or an AI 300 series motherboard? I had upgraded to the AI 300 series, so I used the driver package for that. Though, I’d imagine the Nvidia driver should be the same regardless of which package…
Either way, the fact that the Nvidia control panel can’t reinstall the driver says something’s off here.
Yeah, I have the Ryzen 7040 series (7840HS specifically). I figure I’ll wait until at least the next gen to upgrade that bit. Besides the fact that “AI” has become so much of an overused buzzword that I automatically don’t like how AMD started including it in their CPU naming scheme, the 7840HS just works fine for me right now, so I don’t see a reason to change it.
As for the driver, it could be that Framework had to make some sort of small modifications to the NVIDIA driver to make it work with their 5070s specifically, due to how unique the overall hardware setup seems to be - and that would also explain why the NVIDIA App doesn’t find any updated drivers even though the Framework drivers are version 590 while the current official version is 610 or so.
Apologies for the oversight. I just reviewed the driver packages for both the Framework Laptop 16 Ryzen 7040 and Ryzen AI 300 series. While the AI 300 package has been verified as good, we encountered a failure with the Ryzen 7040 build.
The NVIDIA 5070 12GB SSID was correctly added to the AI 300 package but was inadvertently omitted from the Ryzen 7040 package. I have now corrected the Ryzen 7040 build, and the updated download link will be published to the Knowledge Base later today.
The driver package version remains unchanged at v3.03, but it has been repackaged with a new build date of 2026_07_01.
Before Knowledge Base is updatesd by internal team, you can get the package from below link.

Thanks for the quick fix on that, Quin!
Would you be able to address the driver issue with the Nvidia control panel?
It shows that the currently installed version is 569.49, which was released 5/12/26.

But I previously had installed 610.62 (released 6/16/26).
And attempting to reinstall the driver, to clear the cache and run it as a clean install, only results in failure:
The version of Windows I currently have installed:
Windows 11 Pro 25H2
Build 26200.8737
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.334.0
