The same thing happened to me (ordered the i5, but the packaging label says i3), so I was afraid to open it and look inside at the actual hardware without reaching out to support first. They escalated it to the logistics team to look for answers less than a day ago as I write this now. If yours was in fact just a printing error, then it’s a lot more likely mine is too.
That makes me feel a bit better about opening it up now to see what it really is. Thank you for mentioning it; I’m glad I looked here.
Edit: Yes, sure enough, the label affixed to the actual mainboard on the inside of the laptop I received does say i5-1334U, which is what I ordered. So my outer packaging had a misprint, too – in case that happens to scare anyone as it did me.
Thanks for the instructions to fix the touchpad. Mine was stuck a bit on one of the clicks. This fixed it!
Edit: no idea why this forum posts this as a response to @JTrevail since I replied to @BigT his post on where he fixed the touchpad. No matter what I do, can’t get this reply to reference that post. Strange.
Just wanted to mention that this RAM seems to work without an issue. One thing I read in the Framework documentation is that if you are using 5600 speed RAM (which the one I listed above is) it will run at 5200 in the Framework 12.
if the rumors are true and they start shipping on the 7th (which i think is unlikely, it’ll probably be people getting charged starting monday, i haven’t been yet), it may be a race against the clock
also thanks! i’ve been incredibly busy/tired between college, life, and personal projects so i’m half excited and half dreading the trip
