Hi!
I’m using a French AZERTY keyboard, and all keys work. However, when pressing Ctrl+Alt, the right Alt (AltGr) is ignored which I confirmed using evtest
.
Yet, in need to be able to type Ctrl+Alt+\, where the backslash is obtained as AltGr+8, therefore I need Ctrl+Alt+AltGr+8 to be understood as Ctrl+Alt+\, which is not the case.
Most of online topics are the reverse question, where people want Ctrl+Alt to serve as AltGr, which is not my usecase, or offer Xorg solutions (and I’m on Wayland).
In the keyboard settings, the Alternate Characters Keys is set as Right Alt and in Gnome Tweaks, the Key to choose the 3rd level is also set as Right Alt.
Is it a linux issue or does it comes from the hardware ?
Thank you for any help or lead on the case!
Best
Clément
