Same, i just contacted support either way, because shipment happens out of Taiwan. Which is a couple of hours ahead by my time (CEST).

I am in the same situation but I read on the marketplace that shipping to Europe is delayed for 7 days. I think we’ll get informed soon.

EDIT: Having said that, my package got shipped  it’s in Taiwan should be here Thursday.

I also just got the shipping confirmation. I ordered a Swiss keyboard as well, not sure whether this influenced the shipment date. Also my laptop is supposed to arrive on Thursday, but I wouldn’t be surprised if customs will add a few more days (hopefully only one day so I can configure it on the weekend).

Given it’s sent with FedEx and the invoice shows a Swiss MwSt-Number I hope it won’t be stopped

Received my Pro this morning. Shipped out on Friday and Receivied in Texas today. Can’t complain about that. Had Fedora44 installed in about 30 min, 10 of which was re-writing the ISO onto my thumb drive.

Quality of life improvement is the Memory Training splash screen>>> THANK YOU FRAMEWORK

Touchscreen, Fingerprint Reader and External Display were no issues at all. Went ahead and did a clean install since I will be handing my Framework 13 to someone else. So far so good and will update if I run into anything.

Wow glad to hear that yours work fine especially since here some (bots? because often it reads AI generated but that could also be them not able to write themselves) are recently complaining quite loudly with little substance. To not say they’re completely unbelievable, there’s always a risk of DOA in preordering something, that’s clear.

FedEx has rescheduled from Thursday to tomorrow Wednesday, Yay, which is indeed very fast for being shipped yesterday, since when I ordered BTO models with Apple, Dell or Lenovo it takes considerably longer. Usually only very expensive “Express” deliveries are this fast.

Finally received the preparation email! Happy to see you are getting yours, and that mine will follow soon.

FedEx delivered today. Popped the M.2 from my old Framework 13 in the Pro and I’m up and running!

Mine was delivered just now by the purple shipping company. Was picked up Monday so really fast shipping, have ordered lots of things from all over the world and this is among the fastest free international shipping, the other being StarLabs but they’re more expensive than Framework these days.

Also well packaged, real thick cardboard boxes to protect it, like the ones they use for big speakers not the cheap almost paperlike boxes I’m used to.

Now I have to go to work, will unbox and setup in the evening.

Mine also just arrived. It took me a moment to find there is another compartment below the top layer with the motherboard etc. So don’t get a heart attack if it seems something is missing…

Just got the shipping email and tracking number (UK), phew… Was starting to get a little concerned having not heard anything since payment on the 3rd

I also just received my shipment email after payment on the 3rd, so roughly seven business days later.

Hopefully they can get that down to the estimated 1-3 days for everyone in the coming batches!

It’s great to hear that Batch 3 sounds to be shipping more broadly!

I’ve only gotten to use the 13 Pro a little since yesterday, but my first impressions are positive. I like the trackpad more than I expected to. I wasn’t a fan of Apples haptic trackpad when I tried it years ago. I’m more of a dedicated click button fan.

I have found the plane mine is on currently , from Istanbul to Paris… I presume it will then go on a lorry to the UK.

My shipment arrived!

Like some in Batch 1, I was sent a Clear ANSI input cover in a mislabeled box instead of the Blank ANSI on the order. Support ticket created.

Now, where did I put that NixOS installer drive…

Just got mine.

WTF

They changed the box size / format.

Now, I cannot stack them with my framework 13 and framework 12 boxes!

Very cool to see everyone getting the Framework, I’ve spent some time with it the last two days.

The few very minor things I noticed:

  • My AMD model didn’t have a thermal pad for the NVMe. Is that pad only on Intel boards?
  • The privacy switches have to be pushed all the way to activate, not only until it clicks, maybe good to know if people rely on this.
  • Ambient light sensor is mounted a bit too high for some situations that triggers keyboard lighting a bit often to toggle in auto mode.

But other than that especially the BIOS is great, it recognizes newly connected USB sticks immediately in the boot menu, normally you need to reboot and hit the boot menu key again to see new drives and the setup has a clear structure and isn’t overloaded (like enthusiast mainboards) or too limited (like many OEM devices).

One unrelated observation, Windows is so stupid these days, I installed Linux and then wanted a small Windows partition just in case, the default installer just has a checkbox saying like:
I agree to wipe my whole drive and install windows
(in some other words) which you have to check for the next button to be clickable and you have to find and understand that fine blue link “Use previous version of installer” at the bottom is what you need to disagree with it and then it starts the installer that has been there since Windows Vista, I mean the heck Microsoft! Are you going to force all users to wipe for a reinstall at some future release by removing the old installer completely?

Anyway maybe useful if you’re also considering dual booting. Don’t check boxes and click next by accident!

Then I had to find the “Advanced startup” in Windows to get back into the BIOS, boot Linux again and run efibootmgr -o to set the boot order. Now I can boot Windows when I really need it by using F12 at startup, otherwise it defaults to Linux, no waiting or selecting every time in Grub, neat Solution.

My laptop was scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, but it was rescheduled for Thursday. They tried to deliver it, but I had to go to the office that day. Since then, I have been home on Friday and I am home today, Monday. FedEx has already delayed my delivery twice, and I am so annoyed that I have almost lost interest in the laptop, even though I paid 1,629 euros for it and have not received it for more than two weeks.
