We would like to inform you that some laptop shipments to the U.S. are experiencing delays. This delay is solely related to courier processing and is not connected to tariffs or trade policy.
While the original delivery window may shift, our logistics team is actively working with the carrier and the customs clearance process has been resolved.
Shipments will resume movement shortly and be delivered as soon as possible.
No action is required on your part, and there will be no additional charges incurred.
Thank you for your understanding and your patience!
Not as much, but it does still happen from time to time. Usually the customs clearance delay resolves itself within a couple of days, without intervention needed… but we’re here in case we need to jump in and help.
I heard that FedEx was a little bit behind the past few days, and that’s why a few packages were showing odd (going through customs in California instead of Tennessee - they’re trying to spread out the backlog). Hopefully they get the backlog resolved soon, but if it’s been stuck for more than 3 business days, feel free to shoot me a modmail with your order number or email address used and I’ll check it out. We may be able to help it along.
My Framework Desktop (Batch 7) shipped via FedEx but has been stuck in Memphis since yesterday with status of “Clearance delay - Import”. Should I contact FedEx or will it likely clear in a day or two?
My new FW16 DIY has been sitting in Memphis since last Thursday the 18th. I called FedEx last Friday and was told it was part of a large pallet box so each item had to be individually cleared….then came the weekend when customs doesn’t work.
On Monday got the “cleared customs” email at 7:54am but nothing since. Called FedEx a few times and each one got a harder to understand rep who mostly said “you’ll just have to wait for it and keep checking the website”. I’m assuming all 100+ pieces will have to be done before the whole group is released back to sorting/delivery…
I opened a FW support ticket this morning but haven’t heard back yet if they can speed it along. Meanwhile ordered a 2230 second disk and AX210 card to install when I finally get to build it.
I just spoke with FedEx International (it was a very noisy call center). The latest word is customs hasn’t finished all the parcels on the pallet yet (mine cleared 4 days ago).
FW support did get back to me in the middle of the US night Tuesday of escalating to their logistics branch.
Anyone else on this recent thread see any progress? I opened a support ticket/package trace this morning with FedEx and didn’t receive good news a few hours later (it’s lost). Forwarded the information to the Framework support thread already opened.
Can someone help me? My laptop 13 cleared customs over a week ago and it is just sitting in Tennessee? This was not a small purchase for me and honestly if it takes this long to get a new part or replace a bad ram chip - this is not looking promising.
FedEx has been a bit backed up. Some of it has to do with the inclement weather over the last couple weeks. Packages had to be rerouted or delayed which caused other issues further down the line. If you want to shoot me a modmail with your order number or email address used, I’ll be happy to look into for you and make sure it’s just a FedEx delay and they aren’t waiting on anything from Framework.
Thanks for the reply. I’m probably missing something in understanding the forums. I’m not sure how to send a modmail. I don’t see any links for sending you a dm via the forums and I searched the forum posts and didn’t see anything there or in a faq. Could you help me out with that? Thanks
I’ve been waiting on my desktop for 12 days now. 7 days it’s been sitting in Memphis. Fedex said this is normal and all I can do is wait. that seems crazy? I filled out a support ticket yesterday but haven’t heard anything yet. At my last job we had to stop using fedex because they lost so many packages so I’m getting nervous.
SCHEDULED DELIVERY DATE
Thursday10/2/25 before 8:00 PM
Of course a similar notification popped up when it was first released from customs, but it does say it has departed the FedEx hub.
Also @Milo - I agree. Sometime soon after the pandemic FedEx and UPS got just terrible. Ironically the most reliable these days seems to be the good ol’ USPS. I usually request them if I can.
