My new (first) FW16 is being sorted at the local airport for delivery today; total time in Memphis was fourteen days.

That’s what I figured - and maybe I am going crazy - but I don’t see an orange message button on any profile page. Summary/Activity/Badges; some basic info. I even had my wife look. Maybe because I’m new to the forum?

My package is at the local sorting house. So I expect I will see it today.

guess I don’t have permissions for that, framework support got back to me however and said that FedEx told them the only thing to do is wait and that they’ve been in contact with someone from fedex about this.

I just activated my account on the forums because of this thread. I seem to be unable to message you, probably due to being a new account. I’ve also been stuck in Memphis since Sept 25 on “Shipment Release Import” after a 1 or 2 day clearance delay which was resolved. I would happily provide my tracking / order num in a DM, but no worries if you’re busy.

My system arrived today. The box is a little banged up but I think it’s okay. I probably won’t be able to put it together until tomorrow - but they systems are getting delivered - just more than a week later than expected.

Also - still don’t seem to be able to message via the forum.

You’re a new user so you won’t be able to send DMs. You need to get to Trust Level 1 to send DMs.

I’m having the same issue, with a DIY FW13. My tracking showed ‘Clearance Delay - Import’ on Thursday, 10/2, ‘International shipment release - Import’ on Friday, 10/3, and has stayed that way.

I’m not too bothered by the delay itself, but it is frustrating that FedEx updated the delivery date to today, 10/6, when the package appears to still be in Tennessee. I’d prefer they just say ‘we don’t know.’ My apartment has issues with package theft and more clear messaging would help me get to the package promptly after delivery.

@Eagle Several new members here (myself included) with packages stuck in Tennessee since last week. We can’t DM you since we’re new to the forum. Anything you can do to help?

My order has also been stuck in Memphis since the 2nd.

I am extremely disappointed. As a federal employee trying to cancel my order, I saw the “preparing your batch” email (I’d been hoping my batch wouldn’t go out until after the furlough ends). When I tried to cancel, it turns out that my card had JUST been charged (like, minutes before) and the “shipping soon” email came in. No wonder the “cancel” button was blanked.

So I went the customer service route - Friday. Finally got an answer of “too bad” - once it goes to the fulfillment center, you’re SOL until you get a return sticker - and I have to pay shipping and, according to my reading of the FAW, a restocking charge.
I have no idea how much either charge will be. And now there are shipping delays? I’m going to have to pay interest on a credit card waiting for all this to resolve itself.

Other companies can cancel your order right up until it gets loaded on a truck. Other companies offer free returns.

Once this shutdown is over, I doubt that I will be returning to Framework to re-order.

Is Framework experiencing delays shipping out? Ordered the clear ansi 2nd gen keyboard 3 days ago and it still hasn’t even shipped.

We provide the pre-paid label for normal returns, as our support team stated. After looking at your ticket, I don’t see where you were told you would need to pay for return shipping or a restocking fee. Would you have another ticket that I may be missing? If so, please send me a DM / Modmail with any secondary email address and let me know.

You can find more information about our policy here. In some extreme cases, shipping or a fee to refurbish an item may be charged. This is mainly for cases like if a part is missing from the return, or the item is damaged due to improperly packaging the returned item. This does not apply to normal returns.

In the ‘We’re preparing your batch’ email, there is a date that all order modifications have to be made prior to. Any change requests on or after that date are unable to be processed due to the orders being locked for processing and shipment. Unfortunately, we did not receive your request before that date, so your order was charged, locked, and immediately started processing. We apologize for the inconvenience and will help with the return once you have received the package.

Hi @Ryan_Olds That’s within FedEx’s expected turn around time. It should start moving again today or tomorrow. If it doesn’t, please send me a modmail / DM and I’ll be happy to see if we can do anything to help it along.
