The most recent Intel Display driver update on my 11th gen i5 installed Intel Arc Control, which is fine. But now whenever I boot into Windows (11), I get a UAC prompt from Arc Control asking for admin rights. I don’t immediately see a way to disable the automatic boot (and I’m not sure I should if I could) or a way to perpetually grant it admin rights. It’s not a huge issue, but it would be nice not to have to deal with that popup every time I start the computer. Any ideas?
I believe Intel ARC is independent of the driver so I would just uninstall it. It is of limited use on an iGPU anyways. Alternatively, if it boots on startup, it should appear in task manager under startup and you should be able to disable it from there.
Just uninstall Arc Control.
