Jittery video via HDMI snap in

Hi.
I have flawless video playback at 25fps, 4K on the internal display. But when I connect to my 4K projector via HDMI, I get frame jitters whether or not I have the display cloned or extended or just external.

My son’s macbook plays fine with the same system, as did my Dell XPS from a few years ago.

I’ve tried the snap-in adaptor in all four positions. It’s the same with 1080p material. It’s just not smooth.

Clearly the graphics are up to the task. Is this an issue with the HDMI? Or anything else anyone can suggest?

What is the projector’s refresh rate, and is your power system at 50 or 60 Hz? Is your refresh rate output from the Framework manually set to the 24/25/29.97/50/59.94/60 Hz of the video?

Hi K3n.

The projector normally adjusts it’s frame rate to the incoming signal. I’m in the UK so it’s 50Hz mains and 25Hz frame rate video that I’m playing.

How can I manually set the refresh rate leaving the Framework? I can’t see any settings in the AMD software where you can force a refresh rate.

Strange that it doesn’t jitter on the main laptop screen. And my son has no issues from his MacBook.

Your help is appreciated.
