Keyboard keeps cutting out

Its not AMD 7040 its 7940. Weird that i am forced to use tags, but there isnt one that is accurate…

ANYWAY, new owner here… the frame work keyboard (RGB) keeps cutting out. As it is RGB, you see the LEDs go on and off coinciding with the keys input stop working. I think maybe that if i am super still and gentle with the keys it doesnt happen. This all suggests that teh keyboard is not seated right, but i have re-installed carefully 3 times now. I mean, there isnt really much you can do wrong… is there?

any suggestion please

Welcome to the forum.

The tags are for the generation / series chip, not the exact model. 7940 is 7040 series. For community support questions generation is important info, but exact cpu model number isn’t. Perhaps Framework should add “series” to the amd tags.

I’d suggest trying the keyboard in different locations, to try to narrow down if it’s an issue within the keyboard or the pogo pins disconnecting.

It definitely sounds like something isn’t connected correctly. You can try to reseat the ribbon cable that connects the pogo pins to the main board.
