Laptop says it's charging even when not plugged in

My framework suddenly turned off today (full black screen) and then after a minute came back on. But now it shows the charging icon in the corner on the battery symbol even when the computer is not plugged into the charger.

When I do plug it into a charger, the orange power light comes on on the side. However the computer is not actually charging and the battery is still running down. So the problem is the computer says its charging all the time and never actually charges. I tried uninstalling the battery and ac charger drivers but that did not fix anything.

The battery and AC has drivers?

I think you could remove the battery and use AC only and see if the laptop can be powered up, if not, the circuit might be faulty, contact support for repair/replacement
