Hi everyone, I recently received my laptop 12 diy, i5 32gb, installed the ram, storage and it won’t boot. I’ve tried reseating the ram a few times, with no avail. Cpu fan comes on, but no screen. I’ve seen on other posts for the laptop 13 people had the same issue and just trained their memory on a different ram slot, but with the 12 there is only 1 slot that I know of. If anyone has any tips for me that would be much appreciated. There is no guide on how to do a main board reset, and there is no dime battery on the board that I can see, so I’ve tried pulling the main battery out, wait a few mins, and put everything back together. Still no luck. The blink code blinks red on the 11th blink. Any ideas would help, or if anyone knows how to do a main board reset.
did you buy the RAM from framework along w/ your order?
the blink code guide for the Framework 12 doesn’t mention anything about being able to reset the mainboard like other models, and instead says to contact support. you may want to contact them, especially since the FW12 is so new.
Yeah I ordered the ram with the laptop. And I’ve put in a support request, still waiting for a reply.
Update: support had me try a few things to no avail. They ended up sending me a new mainboard and it worked.
