Hey there,
I use some really small USB-A devices which should not stick out much of the notebooks. Eg. I use a Nitrokey Mini (which should just stay inside the notebook), or a Logitech-receiver for my mouse.
On my thinkpad those are close to the chassis of the notebook. On my FW12 they stick out for about 2-3mm, which I don’t like.
It seems the USB-A socket in the expansion-card is just to close to the end of the chassis.
Do you have this too? Will there be a way for an updated expansion card?
