Power adapter disconnect

Hi,

I have had my Framework 13 AMD for almost a year and beside issues with the motherboard solved by FrameWork, I am very satisfied. However, I noticed that the power adapter is disconnecting due to bad contact between the cables and the adapter itself (by moving the adapter, the connection resumes). This is a basic physical problem, but I guess I am not the only one facing that.

I was wondering if any other user having faced that found a simple solution?

Best regards,
Pierre

Is the problem in the port on the laptop (try swapping ports, or even remove the port and plug straight into the laptop) or the cable (try a different high quality USB c cable) or the cord from the wall to the adapter (also a standard cable so see if you can find a spare to swap with). If all of those fail, you can use any high-quality USB-C PD block that can do at least 60W.

The problem is between the USB-C cable and the adapter. I will try with another cable. But I like the one provided by Framework with the 90° angle…

I’ve been pretty happy with UGreen products. Here is their 100W USB-C right-angle cable: Amazon.com: UGREEN Right Angle USB C to USB C Cable, 100W Type C 90 Degree Fast Charging Cable Compatible with iPhone 16/16 Plus/16 Pro/15, MacBook Pro 2022, iPad Pro 2022, Dell XPS, Samsung Galaxy S24/S23, 6.6FT : Electronics
