Replacement cooling pad questions

My 395 seems to run at 100C all the time. I ordered and received the PTM7958 Thermal Pad - option A to try and cool it down. I haven’t yet opened up the my AMD 395 framework board to replace it, but it seems tiny and maybe not correctly sized? a couple questions:

  • Is the PTM7958 Thermal Pad Option A the correct pad for the AMD 395? is it just for the processor (I presume)
  • should i be applying cooling pads or paste to the ram or other components that interface with the cooler?

I figured it out. the small grey pad is replaceable on the CPU (that was in the package) and there are blue pads on the RAM and controllers that are re-usable. Use 90% iso alcohol with a clean no-lint wipe and re-apply.
