Anyone else having serious issues with the September '24 cumulative Windows 11 update? Ever since installing it, I’ve BSODed multiple times, although I was not doing anything strenuous. I’m on a FW13 with AMD Ryzen 7840U. WhoCrashed suggests this is a hardware issue which I find difficult to believe, considering that I’ve already been through a whole hardware rigamarole which culminated in support sending me a whole new motherboard. My bios, graphics drivers and everything are up to date, I already triple checked.
Hi,
Are you able to add what the BSOD said or maybe photos of the screen.
Although BSOD can be driver issues, it is often a hardware problem.
The actual BSOD dismisses too quickly to get a snapshot but this is what who crashed says:
Additionally, I ran sfc /scannow and found no violations. I saw a recommendation in another thread for a different issue to run prime95 and furmark so I’m also doing that. After an hour on prime95 testing there were still no issues.
When I had issues previously, before I replaced the motherboard, I ran memtest86 a bunch of times and never uncovered any issues there either, but I’ll check again when these tests are finished.
That one is most likely a device driver problem.
Try to rollback to prior to the update.
Are you running third party antivirus or other security software that may include its own driver (or can run as a service)? If so, try to uninstall it.
