Slow boot time

I got my batch 2 performance DIY edition in last week. After getting windows installed, I noticed that the boot time for is somewhat slow to get to the initial loading screen (Framework logo). This usually takes ± 15 seconds. Then Windows loads almost instantly. Is this normal from others experiences?

Im surprised that Windows is the fast part of boot up.

Are you using EFI? Even before you see the Windows logo, it’s very possible that it’s actually loading Windows. In my experience, Windows almost always takes more than 15 seconds to boot up, and “Windows loads almost instantly” is a pipedream!

My computer takes about 20 seconds to boot with a ssd so all seems to be fine.

I’m seeing the exact same behavior on on my pre-assembled Batch 1 base model. I’ve uploaded a video of turning the computer on from hibernate here: Dropbox - slow_boot.mp4 - Simplify your life

0:03 - Press power button
0:06 - Keyboard light comes on
0:16 - See Framework logo
0:19 - See Windows logon wallpaper

Is it expected for the laptop to take ~13s from pressing the power button to seeing the Framework logo? What is it doing during that time? Are there any settings I can play with to try to reduce that time?

Thanks!
