Solved - Keyboard works in Bios but then stops working when in OS

I’m on windows 11 25 H2

Bios 4.01

Ai 370 HX with 5070 8gb

I just installed my new 5070 module and this is when the issue started occurring. My trackpad works normally… which is weird

The keyboard work in bios and received power however when I get to the screen with FW logo and spinning white circle, they keyboard stops receiving power. I attempted to force on the input modules in bios but same behavior occurs. this Is what I see in windows device manager

I removed the 5070 module and re installed my expansion bay shell however the issue still persist. I tried updating the keyboard firmware but it says it cannot find the device, I’ve tried to update the drivers, still no luck.

Additionally the fingerprint sensor does not work

Also I all my USB ports don’t work(charging still works) and I have no Bluetooth)

Something else is going on that is going to require support to help walk through steps to isolate the issue. Start a ticket if not done so already.

Careful reseating of the mid plate and connectors is a good idea to try too. Maybe move the keyboard to a different position and see if the same issue happens.

The Bluetooth not working is a whole different issue too maybe. It could be related but only because all the USB ports are not talking. Charging is one thing but sending and receiving data is another.

Maybe the EC got stuck in some strange state, maybe something in the BIOS changed and did not set correctly.

If booting to an Ubuntu or Fedora LIVE USB causes the same issues then it is not Windows related. If it goes away something may have corrupted itself in Windows which does happen.

I solved it. Somehow windows was borked during/after the processe of either updating bios or updating drivers. i had to do a fresh install which is unfortunate
