Please help.
My framework 16 blue screened for the second time out of nowhere today.
I reset it and started setting it up - one of the things I did was the bios update. It turned off to restart and now it won’t turn on.
It’s trying to perform a memory test but keeps failing at 7-9 percent
Managed to get a shot of what it was saying.
If you have two sticks of memory, try removing one of them and see if it will boot then. Then remove it and put the other one in, and see if that one will boot. (You may have to try both slots, but I think that the left one is the one to use with only one stick of memory, if it matters.) If it’s really a memory problem, that will identify which stick of memory it is.
Alternately, if both sticks pass individually, it might be a problem with the hardware slot. Or maybe there was just a bit of dust preventing one of the connectors from making secure contact, and just re-seating the memory will resolve it.
If you only have one stick of memory, you can try re-seating it (or maybe moving it to the other slot) to see if that helps. If it doesn’t, then possible the memory itself was marginal to begin with, and has now failed.
If none of the above solves the problem – the FW16 is pretty new, so it would still be under warranty. If you got your memory from Framework, contact their support team and see what they can do for you. If you bought it on your own, you might just have to replace it. Sorry.

I got everything from framework. I have one hard drive (4TB) and two things of ram. I’m assuming by memory here you mean hard drive?
No, remove one of the RAM sticks and ensure that the remaining RAM stick is in slot 0. Try and see if it can boot off of that RAM stick. If it can’t, switch the RAM sticks and try again.

Thanks. Just removed the RAM but it’s doing the same thing. So about 15-30 seconds and then a screen flash of the same thing.
I’ll switch and try the other ram
Tried both rams in slot 0.
No luck same thing. I did contact support and I’m waiting but this is so upsetting. I got the laptop at the end of June - it blue screened twice and now this.
It’s possible that both sticks of RAM went bad at the same time, but very unlikely. More likely is that the RAM is good, but something went wrong with your motherboard. If that’s the case, support will figure it out and get you set up. It might just take a few days.

Update on this: they sent a new mainboard, I’ve replaced it and now it works.
So, I guess that was the issue.
