SSD’s and SD card reader only work on right side of laprop

Hello,

I have an 11th gen framework laptop.
2x usba
2x usbc
windows 11

For these past few years, any media or storage devices have only been accessible from any ports on the right side of my device.

Its not an issue with the ports on the left, as they work with other peripherals and charging.

I think it may be an issue with windows as it doesn’t detect any of those storage devices on the left side ports, does anyone might have any advice?

If you search you will see a reset often sorts things like ports not being recognised a s designed

Here’s the reset procedure that I believe @amoun is referring to.

Have you updated the BIOS? The BIOS updates also update the USB retimers which corrects the issue.
