The CPU has 20 PCIe lanes, 17 are used.
New framework:

The CPU has 16 PCIe lanes, 15 are used.
The USB and thunderbolt ports use dedicated CPU connections and don’t count.
There is special IO for USB4 and the other USBs, even tho USB4 uses, amongst others, the PCIe protocol it doesn’t count to the used PCIe lanes. The new 16 uses 15 of 16 lanes, while the old one used 17 of 20.
Hey @xoe, just to ask, are you affiliated with Framework in any way? I just would like to find out just how “badass” the company has gotten on communication. Offering an extra transcript on the forum for anyone who hasn’t seen it (for example to look for keywords) would be next level for a company.
