Troubleshooting apparent dead ssd

DIY edition i5-1135g7 from April with bios 3.7 running Windows 11 with a WD_BLACK SN850 500GB SSD.

This morning I was greeted with no boot device error. I popped in the USB drive that I originally used to install Windows 11 and received stop code MACHINE CHECK EXCEPTION.

I do not know what FW the SSD had nor did I ever attempt to upgrade its FW. DOM is 30AUG2021.

Are there any further troubleshooting steps worth attempting before RMA?

Please follow the steps located in the article located HERE. Western Digital SN850s have a known FW issue that requires an update.
